There were many kids on the floats themselves throwing candy, and sometimes they tossed the nuggets so hard and right at us, that we had to duck and cover our faces lest we lose an eye. AACK!
The Southernmost Car Club took up a good portion of the parade, the Miata Club was there making me miss my old car, and the members of the SPCA had lots and lots of animals who participated.

Christmas and Hanukkah were represented (why it's called a holiday parade...).
For the rest, we'll just do this via slideshow again - it's easier for all of us (you subscribers will need to come to the blog to see it).
Kids had wagons or bags full of candy and beads by the end of the parade exactly one hour later. We ended up with more than I thought once we emptied our pockets too. I love Smarties. Yummy!
We're about to miss Carnival in St. Kitts (if you search my old blog for "Carnival" you'll get all kinds of good stuff, although I'll give you a taste below; BTW, that blog is now being run by someone else so has changed a bit), but I'll accept this as an acceptable replacement (it was certainly quieter). The upcoming boat parade should be fun too.

Among other things, I'm a blogger. My last one was

Hi Nancy! Thanks for transferring over from Island Babble, it's nice to have so many of you still reading. We most certainly miss St. Kitts, especially the beaches and hiking (we REALLY miss the hiking). We're still trying to figure out how to fit in here exactly, and the blog reflects that a bit, but I'll keep trying!
