Country Noises

I've got a new friend (same coloring, but much larger than Flush).

Knead, ouch, knead, ouch....
This is not a bad place to do some editing work, eh?

My view when I'm not staring at the computer.

What a difference a 20-minute drive makes. Out here we've got lots of birds, some horses grazing in the distance, the usual tree frogs, donkey's hee hawing, dogs barking (lots of dogs barking), cows mooing, monkeys fighting, roosters crowing... And the breeze. It's not quite like the other place I was staying, which experiences a wind-tunnel effect day in and day out, but is still quite cool. The temps may be the same here and in Key West, but the feel-temp couldn't be more different (although it is still hot here if you're in the sun). As a matter of fact, it's a good thing I'm working. I was just paying my bills online and saw that our electric bill went up $30 since we first moved to FL. (A/C I curse you - well, unless I'm really hot.)

Meanwhile, back in the Keys...
